Metaview Labs Secures $60 Million in Series C Funding for AI Recruiting Revolution

Metaview Labs Inc., a startup specializing in artificial intelligence recruitment software, announced that the industry is primed for a transformative shift, often referred to as a “Claude Code moment,” following its recent closure of a $60 million Series C funding round. This significant investment was spearheaded by Insight Partners, with contributions from GV, Seedcamp, Vertex Ventures US, Intrepid Growth Partners, Plural, and Garuda Ventures. Cumulatively, Metaview has raised $110 million since its inception.

Founded in 2018 by former employees of Uber Technologies Inc. and Palantir Technologies Inc., Siadhal Magos and Shahriar Tajbakhsh serve as CEO and CTO, respectively. Despite its relatively young age in the AI startup landscape, Metaview is at the forefront of utilizing agent-based AI in recruiting.

In a recent blog post, Magos observed that the role of software engineers has shifted from traditional coding to orchestrating AI agents that handle essential tasks. He anticipates that recruiters will soon follow a similar trajectory. The company’s AI agents are designed to automate various stages of the recruitment process, including creating job advertisements, sourcing and screening candidates, reviewing resumes, and conducting initial interviews.

According to Magos, Metaview’s AI agents have already facilitated over 6 million interviews. After each candidate interview, the agents convert interview responses into actionable notes for human reviewers, simplifying the creation of shortlists for in-person interviews. Importantly, the interview questions and job qualification criteria are established by human recruiters beforehand.

Magos emphasizes the pressing need for automation in recruitment, characterizing the process as “hard, laborious work” with limited technological support. Many organizations often scale recruitment teams during hiring surges, only to dismantle them later, resulting in inefficiency and increased costs. Given the current economic climate, which has led to a surge in job applications — with the ratio of applications per recruiter increasing by 412% — the need for streamlined, automated recruitment solutions has never been greater.

More than 7,000 companies have adopted Metaview’s AI agents, including notable clients such as Deel, Affirm, and Replit Inc. These enterprises have achieved a remarkable reduction in their average time-to-hire by over 75% as a result of implementing Metaview’s solutions.

Introduction of Advanced AI Agents

With the recent funding, Metaview is not only expanding its capabilities but also rolling out an innovative addition to its platform: fillmore. This autonomous recruiting agent is capable of researching potential candidates, creating targeted lists, generating personalized outreach emails, managing follow-up conversations, and scheduling interviews for interested candidates. fillmore is fully operational within Slack and is designed to enhance the efficiency of recruitment processes.

Magos argues that by employing fillmore for automation, companies can keep recruiting efforts ongoing while maintaining control over crucial decision-making aspects of the hiring process.

Future Expansion and Workforce Development

Metaview is now focusing on growth, with three primary objectives. First, the company aims to expand its platform by developing additional agents that specialize in various recruitment functions. It is also establishing a new office in New York City to support its growth, with plans to increase its current workforce of around 80 employees to over 250 by the end of next year. Positions in engineering, product development, design, and market outreach are among those available, with expectations that its own AI agents will assist in automating much of this recruitment effort.

Lastly, Metaview recognizes that the transition to agentic recruiting will require new skill sets. The company is promoting its 10x Recruiting program, which focuses on training human recruiters in leveraging AI technologies effectively. Magos asserts that the most successful teams of the future will be those adept in utilizing advanced AI tools to enhance their recruitment strategies.
