The Qilin Ransomware group has come under fire for hacking into the servers of the UK-based newspaper, The Big Issue Group.

The hack got confidential data and are holding the entire database hostage until a ransom is paid. The Big Issue is working hard to recover the lost data, which includes critical contracts, partner information, personal data, and financial statements.

The Qilin malware has been linked to other hackers and has infected several organizations, with the number of attacks increasing in recent months. Additionally, the University of Winnipeg was targeted in a separate cyber attack, causing the postponement of exams by a week.
