T-Mobile’s 5G network plays a crucial role in powering both the onboard Wi-Fi and the vehicle’s monitoring system. Cameras inside and outside the robotaxi will allow the command center to keep an eye on rides in real-time, offering assistance when needed. Additionally, the vehicle is designed to communicate with traffic lights along its route, helping to reduce wait times and manage traffic flow more efficiently.

May Mobility’s robotaxi system is already in operation in other U.S. cities, including Detroit, Arlington, and Miami. The Atlanta area deployment marks the latest expansion, and the company aims to grow its fleet and coverage area in the near future.
